Party Rock Anthem was the message last night as LMFAO, along with Kesha and Spank Rock, played a sold out show to an array of glitter laced party rockers in the electric atmosphere of the Molson Amphitheatre.
Rapper Spank Rock kicked things off, warming up the crowd with a few monster beats including his hit “I Can Make You Famous”. The enthusiastic rapper had everyone’s hands up as he appealed for help singing along and jamming out to his hits, and overall did a good job of staying real and interacting with his fans.
Then it was on to LMFAO who absolutely nailed it!
Opening with their song “Rock The Beat” and closing with a charismatic version of the hit song “Shots”, LMFAO took to the stage amidst strobing lights, tearing through their CD Sorry For Party Rocking hit by hit and turning the crowd into their own personal party zone.
Inflatable zebras, beach balls, and crazy dances were all part of the band's appeal, and the crowd had their hands up, ready to sing along, as LMFAO gave some major love to their Toronto fans on the Kiss 92.5 Wham Bam Stage.
From partying with Shuffle Bot and a giant panda, to rocking out with “Sexy and I know It”, from dancing around in their underwear and playing on a keytar, the band and an amazingly talented dance crew, stopped at nothing to entertain.
It’s clear from this high energy performance that LMFAO's motto is to entertain their crowds no matter what, and I can’t give them enough credit for the awesome show they played, and the joyous spirit they laid down for the many legions of colourful and vibrant fans. Party rock was in Toronto Trick!
The evening edged on as party girl Ke$ha hit the stage. Dressed in lit up sunglasses, a silver body suit, and an absolute crap load of glitter, the headlining star owned the stage from the very first moment.
Beginning with her hit “Take It Off” and ending with a bang, she kept up a constant driving edge, dancing all over the stage to the infectious beat amongst her back up dancers under a killer light show.
Playing up her sex appeal, but not taking herself too seriously, Ke$ha danced her way through single after single really soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the spirit of the night with her fans.
She really showcased her moves well on songs such as chart toppers “Blow” and “Your Love Is My Drug”.
I have to hand it to her, Ke$ha really knows how to rock out and enjoy herself on stage.
Her charisma especially shone in numbers such as “Party at a Rich Dudes House” where she played glitter flailing drums, got out the pretend keggers, and cart-wheeled her way through the song.
As well as “Animal” where she stood confident and proud, singing her self-proclaimed favourite song from the bottom of her heart.
Ke$ha's vocals on some numbers including her song “Cannibal” really impressed, and the back stories for her songs allowed fans to see her as a real person who enjoys what she does, making a connection with each number.
All in all Wam Bam was a big success and kept the crowd dancing in the aisles throughout the evening. Special thanks to Kiss 92.5 FM for having us there, and throwing the summer's hottest party!
